Skiing the Andes!

First impressions of Bariloche weren’t too promising. Being on the banks of Lake Nahuel Huapi, it is a picturesque enough setting, but down in the city it has rained pretty much all week. We took the 40 minute bus ride up the mountain to the Cerro Catedral resort, where we discovered a ski resort with no snow at the base and mountains shrouded in damp fog. However we have stuck at it this week, and were rewarded a few days ago with stacks of fresh snow and today the sun came out, and we got to see the Andes in their full glory from the top lift station (Nubes-1930m)
